A CAPETOWN DECAMERON
1348. The plague struck the City of Florence. The poet and writer Giovanni Boccaccio imagined a group of young people, fleeing the plague and spending a lockdown in Tuscany, entertaining themselves by telling stories. In 2020, when the Covid pandemic hit the world, Stanislas Yassukovich emulated this idea, and wrote a collection of 20 stories which he circulated to a group of family and friends around the world. These are the ones his first readers liked best.
